Govt Affairs Manager

Job Summary:                                                                  

The Manager of Government Affairs   with sound  knowledge of foreign trade policies /export trade procedures along with taxation part will interact with local, state, and legislative bodies and government agencies and foreign trade agencies to represent and protect the Council business plans and interests.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • May oversee and manage a liaison program between the Council and legislative entities.


  • Research and monitors government activities that could affect the Council members.
  • Assists senior management and leadership with strategic planning for known and potential regulatory activities related to the export and trade industry.
  • Builds and maintains professional relationships with members of state, and local government entities /regulatory agencies


  • Testifies before government committees in support of the Council and/or industry.
  • Introduces legislative and public policy changes that will support council and its members business operations.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Exim Policy of India / export import procedures / Taxation / budget related matters, various trade related schemes, WTO matters
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


Education and Experience:

         Candidate must have experience of 5years plus in the industry .

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Political Science, Public Relations, or related field required; MBA or law degree preferred.

Event Manager

Job Responsibilities

  • Brainstorming and implementing event plans and concepts.
  • Handling budgeting and invoicing.
  • Liaising and negotiating with vendors
  • Liaising with Govt officials’ departments for approvals and plans
  • Negotiating sponsorship deals.
  • Handling logistics.
  • Knowledge of Export trade policies to plan a event
  • Updating senior management/ Competent Authority
  • Managing branding and communication.
  • Developing event feedback surveys.
  • Obtaining permits.
  • Handling post-event reports


Qualifications :

Candidate must have experience of two years plus in the industry along with the below mentioned requirements .

  • Degree in public relations, communications, or hospitality.
  • Communication and marketing skills.
  • Project management experience.
  • Good leadership skills.
  • Highly Organized.
  • Multi-tasker.
  • Good time management.
  • Proficiency in various event software.
  • Expert interpersonal skills.
